“Mission: Accepted”! Christopher McQuarrie is set to reunite with Tom Cruise as director of Mission: Impossible 5!
Cruise and McQuarrie share an illustrious work history, including Valkyrie, Jack Reacher, and Edge Of Tomorrow. When announcing this latest news, Tom Cruise said, “I am thrilled to reunite with Chris for the latest installment in the ‘Mission’ series. I began producing the films with the goal that a different director with his own vision would make each one. Chris is an extraordinary filmmaker who will deliver the heart-pounding action and thrills that audiences around the world have come to expect from the ‘Mission: Impossible’ franchise.”
Mission: Impossible 5 has also been treated with Iron Man 3 screenwriter Drew Pearce to work on the script. No title or release date has yet been announced for the latest installment in Cruise’s most successful franchise.
