MTV Cancels Victoria Justice’s Teen-Thriller ‘Eye Candy’

After only one short-lived season, MTV has now officially cancelled its teen thriller ‘Eye Candy’, starring Victoria Justice.

Looks like Lindy won’t be reuniting with her missing sister Sara after all. MTV has cancelled freshman series Eye Candy which starred Victorious actress Victoria Justice.

Eye Candy, which was based on an RL Stine novel of the same name, told the story of tech-genius Lindy Sampson; a determined young woman who’s determined to catch a killer and find her missing sister. Justice, who portrayed Lindy, was the first to announce the sad news via twitter posting, “I wanted you guys to hear it from me first, that the cast and I received news that Eye Candy will not be returning for season two. Even though a lot of you are going to feel sad/angry, please know that playing Lindy Sampson is something that I loved and I will hold dear to my heart.”

Justice proceeded to thank the cast and crew as well as the shows loyal fan-base, “Last but definitely not at all least, thank you to the amazing fans. I saw all of your WW trends (it might be 23 or 24 to date) and your unflinching support. It’s because of all of you that I get to do what I love. I am beyond grateful for that”. Justice continued, “It made me so happy that you embraced the show the way you did. I was so lucky to have you guys along for the ride, because you made it that much more exciting!”

Eye Candy‘s cancellation seemed entirely premature, since there was so much more of the story left to tell. What’s next for Lindy? Will Lindy and Tommy end up together? Will Lindy reunite with Sara? Just what the hell is going on? These are just some of the questions that will remain unanswered.
