Brush up on on your rules of the horror genre because Scream is making its way back to terrify audiences, however this time in the form of television. Over the last year, it had been known that MTV was working on a potential horror series based on the outstandingly successful slasher film franchise, and as of today we finally have confirmation of a 10 episode first season! The pilot was filmed earlier this year and stars Bex Taylor-Klaus (Arrow) Willa Fitzgerald (Royal Pains) John Karna (The Neighbors) Bobby Campo (The Final Destination) and Carlson Young, (True Blood) among others.
The announcement was made via twitter on the MTV Scream account, tweeting a phone number that when dialed, an ominous voice asks, “Do you like scary TV? Scream is coming to MTV October 2015.” It was recently announced that the iconic ghostface costume used in the films won’t appear in the MTV series at least in the pilot episode, which had fans curious to see what the writers will do to remind us of its successful predecessor.
