Willa Fitzgerald (Royal Pains, Alpha House) – Emma Duval, naturally popular but more of an “introvert” who has a strained relationship with best friend Audrey

John Karna (The Neighbors) – Noah foster, Tech savvy computer geek with vast knowledge of pop culture

Amy Forsyth (Reign) – Audrey Jensen, the artistic hopeful film director who’s the wallflower type that finds herself content on her own

Carlson Young (Key and Peele, True Blood) – Brooke Maddox, quite the popular girl with a bubbly outgoing personality

Amadeus Serafini (Smoke) – Kieran Wilcox, the new kid in town who oozes mysteriousness and trouble, with a Sheriff for a father.

In addition to the cast, it was also announced that Jamie Travis, who is already known for directing MTV’s series Faking It, will direct the series pilot episode. Susanne Daniels, President of Programming for MTV said in a statement, “We are excited to be in business with the formidable Weinstein brothers, Scream is an iconic franchise, and MTV is the perfect network to bring this consistently surprising film to life on television.”

Though Weinstein brothers are attached to produce the series, it seems that will be the extent of the original Scream team without director Wes Craven, and writer Kevin Williamson. Nonetheless it should be exciting to see how the slasher story from my all time favorite horror films will develop into a television program, so you can count me in!

Who else is getting hyped up for the Scream series?!
