Fraggle Rock is a cult-favorite television series with muppets, which met great success back in the 80’s. Reportedly, Jim Henson’s outstanding show is getting a screen adaptation featuring the imaginary world, with the Fraggles making a comeback to the scene.
The late puppeteer and producer will have his classics revisited in the modern era. The release will come as part of The Jim Henson Co. legacy, straight from his very own library of work. It marks as one of the first releases to be made public, from a series of the artist’s unreleased material that is set to see the light of day.
The Henson children, Lisa and Brian, are now all grown up and running the studio themselves. Alongside the new series being in development, the two decided to revisit the old puppet-favorite as well and, thankfully, there’s a big film for the Fraggle Rock back catalog. In addition to that, there is another movie in the works, a sequel to The Dark Crystal, which first came out back in 1982.
