While the next James Bond film is still untitled and under development, Naomie Harris, who played Eve Moneypenny in Skyfall, is relieved to hear that director Sam Mendes will be returning to direct the 24th Bond film.
While initial reports led many to believe that Mendes would not return, he confirmed to be back even after claiming that directing another Bond film would make him feel “physically sick.”
Harris, in an interview with Total Film, said, “I’m so relieved. He chose me and had a vision for my character. I’d feel really weird working for someone who hadn’t chosen me and didn’t have that same vision.” Reportedly, Harris will be having a much more involved role in the next film as a sidekick.
With Sam Mendes directing, Moneypenny having a bigger role, and Ralph Fiennes replacing Judi Dench as Gareth Mallory, the new MI6 chief, the next Bond film is sure to be jam-packed with action!
