Natalie Portman has held a low-key presence in Hollywood since winning an Oscar for her spin in Black Swan, getting married and having her first child; but this may be about to change.
The 32 year old actress is in talks for a role that could put her back in the spotlight.
The freshly announced film adaptation of Megan Abbot’s popular 2012 novel Dare Me, which will be directed by Michael Sucsy (The Vow),could land Portman a lead role.
When Abbott’s novel was released in July it made many best-of-summer book lists; Entertainment Weekly and The Wall Street Journal to name a few. According to Deadline the novel is “described as Heathers meets Fight Club, with teenage cheerleaders.”
Although there is no confirmation as to who Natalie would play (or if she will end up being involved), we do know she’ll be reprising her role as Jane Foster in the upcoming Thor: The Dark World; that in itself is something to get excited about.
