Is Natalie Portman expecting a second child with husband Benjamin Millepied?

Well, according to Us Weekly and her recent appearance at the Venice Film Festival last week (where Portman was seemingly displaying a mini baby bump) the news could be very well true.

Portman was promoting her latest film Planetarium at the 73rd Annual Venice Film Festival, and news quickly spread about whether the 35 year old actress was pregnant again.

The couple already have a five year old son, Aleph, and met on the set of 2010’s Black Swan. While promoting her movie A Tale of Love, in which Portman made her directorial debut, she spoke with The New York Times about how motherhood has changed her:

“Being a mother made me realize how maternal the role of director is,” she said. “It made me much calmer under stress, because there’s that weird parent thing you  develop … that when things get really bad your voice gets calm and your blood pressure slows. And you can make everything OK again. And things get bad and stressful on films.”

No word yet from Natalie herself, but the actress appeared radiant on the red carpet last weekend at the Toronto Film Festival where she made another appearance at the Jackie screening on Sunday to some rave reviews from audiences.

Natalie Portman gets standing o for her performance in Jackie, which is Oscar-worthy, if it comes out this year. Distribs are huddling now.

Portman plays the title character, Jackie Kennedy, who was married to U.S President John Kennedy. Portman told Entertainment Weekly that she found playing the role challenging. “She’s so well-known in terms of what she looks like and what she sounds like and how she moves, so to get that is definitely daunting,” she said.

The film focuses on the aftermath of JFK’s assassination and what the late Jackie Kennedy went through.

“We see the toughness of who she was, dealing with what she had to go through while keeping herself together for the sake of the country and her family, and also the vulnerability and the intelligence of how she really crafted JFK’s legacy.”
