In the November issue of Marie Claire, Natalie Portman dishes all the gossip of her move to Paris and her Paparazzi issues, sporting a rather revealing midriff-baring dress, and pulls it off.
Natalie Portman’s reason for moving to The City Of Love? Benjamin Millepied, her French choreographer husband, has been named director of the Paris Opera Ballet.
Naturally, she was excited by the prospect of moving. “I’m really lucky,” she tells Marie Claire, “When Ben asked me if I wanted to go to Paris, I freaked. Everyone dreams of living in Paris.”
Even her parents were excited for her; “They made me feel that they would drop anything at any time to help me. I never felt like there was anything more important than me. Which I know can probably create an a–hole, too. It gives you a deep sense of security and safety to feel that your parents will love you no matter what.”
As well as this, it is often seen in the news of celebrities hating Paparazzi, and it’s to be expected. However sometimes hardcore fans can take this a little to heart. Portman on the overhand, doesn’t have an issue with fans, “People are really cool, by and large,” she says. “I try and stay away from drunk people—that’s when they start getting rude and aggressive, like, ‘Why did you suck in that movie?’”
Portman shouldn’t worry about any of those drunken comments though, due to the amount of awards she won for Black Swan alone. Moreover, there is the highly anticipated Thor: The Dark World being released at the end of this month and beginning of November. You can see first look pictures with Irish comedic actor, Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids, The IT Crowd) here.
For those who have been living under a rock, Thor: The Dark World is released 30th October in the UK and 8th November in the US.
