Nathan Sykes originally rose to fame thanks to being part of The Wanted. After the group went on a hiatus, the youngest of the bandmates took time to start recording for his very own solo project and we now have the first sample from it, titled “More Than You’ll Ever Know”.
The former boyband member took to Twitter to reveal that his first official single would be released, but didn’t want to keep his fans waiting so long. Therefore, he shared “More Than You’ll Ever Know” and it pretty much sets the tone for what’s to follow. Even though it’s only a promotional tune, the track is insanely good. Nathan Sykes is the absolute crooner on top of the retro jazz melody, delivering some great soulful vocals and making exquisite use of his falsetto.
Even though The Wanted could really use that break of theirs, the different yet slick sound of “More Than You’ll Ever Know” pretty much paves the way for the singer’s solo career. You might also be aware that Nathan Sykes was previously involved with Ariana Grande, so allegations have been made that the song is about the “Problem” star. In any case, give it a listen below.
