This 1960’s set thriller chronicling Charles Manson isn’t going anywhere. Aquarius, which stars David Duchovny as Detective Sam Hodiak and Gethin Anthony as Charles Manson, has been renewed for a second season and Jennifer Salke, NBC Entertainment’s president, had this to say about the hit new series:
“With its riveting drama and innovative release strategy, Aquarius has excited the critics, hooked millions of viewers and energized our summer. It’s no secret that the way people watch television is evolving, so we took a unique approach to how we delivered Aquarius and it’s driven some record numbers for NBC Digital and helped us reach viewers who might have otherwise overlooked a great summer drama.”
Aquarius was the first network show to stream the first season in its entirety following its May premiere. Due to streaming on NBC’s website and Hulu, the viewership for Aquarius has grown exponentially thus leading to the show’s second season renewal. Fans of Aquarius can all breathe a sigh of relief!
