The character of Constantine, from the DC Comic Hellblazer, was first brought to life in 2005 by Keanu Reeves in a feature length film of the same name. This time around, Matt Ryan will take the title role. Based on the official image, as well as this behind the scenes shot, things are looking good.

John Constantine is a con man turned detective who investigates the supernatural who also has a little bit of magic up his sleeve. NBC greenlighted the pilot back in January, and this time around the show will stick closer to its comic roots. Constantine is set to premiere later this year.

So far fans are saying Ryan looks almost identical to the Constantine in the beloved comics. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below!
