NBC is going to continue the network trend of adapting comic books into television series (Gotham, Arrow, The Flash, iZombie) and has picked up the horror/supernatural series Constantine, based on DC comic book series Hellblazer, which had a long 25-year run.
The series will follow Constantine, a man known as an exorcist who fights off evil entities and has the ability to see spirits.
In the trailer, Constantine is visited by an angel reminding him of his actions resulting in a young girl going to hell, and the angel informs him that he himself is dammed.
The series stars Matt Ryan, Lucy Griffiths and Harold Perrineau. The trailer seems fairly promising, with some legitimate creep factor intertwined with the slight humor, and suspense.
Will you be watching Constantine? Watch the trailer for the series and look for it in the fall on NBC.
