Magic Kingdom Brings Back Holiday Cheer

Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is ready to help you celebrate the Christmas holiday with special events and new shows.

Christmas is less than two months away and holiday cheer has already taken over the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. This year, there’s more holiday activities than ever before to get you in the mood to deck the halls.

If you want to celebrate the season right, we’ve put together some of the must-see activities to check out.

Walt Disney World brings back the holiday cheer with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Magic Kingdom’s premier party event kicks off the holiday season this Friday with snow on Main Street, a special Christmas parade and holiday fireworks high above the castle. This year, the celebration will be extra cold with the visiting sisters from Arendelle bringing a Frozen touch to the holiday.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party runs select nights through the end of the year and is a separate ticket event. Limited tickets are sold each night so it’s the perfect time to take the family if you’re looking for shorter ride lines.

While you’re enjoying the holiday scenery, don’t forget to grab a cup of hot cocoa to keep your hands warm.

A brand new Frozen themed holiday show premiered this week at the Magic Kingdom called A Frozen Holiday Wish, staring sisters Anna and Elsa along with Kristoff and funny snowman Olaf. The new show kicks off the evening festivities with songs and sounds from the film and leads up to the grand finale with Elsa using her powers to turn the castle in to a holiday ice palace.

If you can’t make it to the park to see the show, you can still watch online as the Disney Parks Blog streamed the show on their website.

If you’re one of those people that loves corny jokes and trips through the jungles of the world, you’re in luck; the popular Jingle Cruise make-over of the World Famous Jungle Cruise is returning to Adventureland this year.

Skippers don their Santa hats and set sail for adventure with a sprinkle of holiday cheer thrown in. Each of the boats take on a new holiday-themed name while Christmas ornaments and music set the atmosphere.
