While visiting David Letterman and promoting his Broadway show Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Neil Patrick Harris of course opened up about the series finale of How I Met Your Mother.
The finale came under fire from A LOT of fans, who called the ending a slap in the face to 9 years of character development among other things.
Well, it appears Neil was a fan!!
He said: “I was a big proponent of it, a big fan of it,”
“Sometimes, people’s growth doesn’t really mean that they grow up. There are certain people who you want them to get into a solid relationship and really settle down and learn from things. And you want Barney to be the guy you can bring your mom home to — but Barney’s the guy who wants to bang your mom.”
