As if you didn’t love these guys enough already…
Neil Patrick Harris has been receiving rave reviews with his turn as Hedwig in Hedwig & the Angry Inch on Broadway (he’s expected to take the Tony as well).
This past Sunday night, Neil took home yet another accolade when he received the Drama Desk Award for Best Actor in a Musical. During his speech, he lovingly thanked David Burtka:
Lastly, I’d like to thank David Burtka, my fiance. We’ve been together for over ten years and when we first met I was doing a show, Cabaret, and he was Tulsa in Gypsy. We were both doing shows at the same time and my path has led us mostly to Los Angeles and it has sort of uprooted him from what he had been doing.
So, thank you so much for your love and for your patience and your sacrifice in all that you do. And I can’t wait for the opportunity soon when these roles get to be reversed and I get to cheer you on up here doing what you do so well.
Absolutely adorable.
