Netflix And Amazon Won’t Be Rescuing Hannibal For A Fourth Season

Bryan Fuller has revealed via Twitter that both Amazon and Netflix have passed on the fourth season of Hannibal, but that other options are being explored.

These past couple of weeks have not been kind to my fellow fannibals and me.  First NBC cancelled Hannibal and then the show’s stars were released from their contracts, breaking every fannibal’s heart. But there was still hope for the show being picked up by Netflix or Amazon, who holds the streaming rights to the underrated series. Brace yourselves, my fellow fannibals, because that hope is now gone.

Bryan Fuller revealed via Twitter that Amazon and Netflix have decided to not pick up  Hannibal for a fourth season, obviously making the world’s biggest mistake. After delivering such heartbreaking news, Fuller did leave a tiny ray of hope as he confirmed that other possibilities are being investigated.

Hannibal’s Comic-Con panel is just days away and I’m hoping some good news is announced at the presentation. Losing a show of such quality with such an amazing storyline and group of characters will be a devastating blow to the world of television and I remain hopeful for its fourth season pick-up.
