Netflix Drops Gritty New Trailer For Marvel’s Jessica Jones

Netflix debuted a new trailer for the new series, Marvel’s Jessica Jones and it has all the dark, gritty stuff we have come to love from Hell’s Kitchen.

The new trailer for Marvel’s Jessica Jones hit the internet today and naturally, sent fans into a tizzy! The new show, scheduled to debut on Netflix, stars Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad) as Jessica Jones, a superhero living on the DL in Hell’s Kitchen. A brief snippet accompanying the trailer describes the show:

After a tragic ending to her short-lived Super Hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a private detective in Hell’s Kitchen. It’s time the world knew her name…

Jessica Jones also stars David Tennant (Doctor Who) as the villainous Killgrave (The Purple Man) whose ominous presence looms over this latest trailer. And Whovians are ecstatic to see the 10th Doctor entering the Marvel Universe even if he is utterly terrifying.  The show also stars Mike Colter (The Good Wife) as Luke Cage and will also be seen in his own spin-off series for Netflix sometime in 2016.

If this latest trailer is any indication, Jessica Jones promises to be just as dark and intriguing as its Netflix predecessor, Daredevil. The show doesn’t shy away from the grittiness of Hell’s Kitchen or the “reality” of being someone with powers in post-Avengers New York. Daredevil has already made reference to the alien invasion seen in the first Avengers, tying together the universes brilliantly for a fantastic continuation of the story.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones will debut for 13 episodes on Netflix November 20th. So get that popcorn ready and plan those viewing parties because Jessica Jones will be well worth it!
