Netflix announced on August 4th that they’d be extending an entire year for mothers and fathers who have just had, or adopted, a child. This is exciting news for working parents! Netflix has said that the parent can come back full-time or part-time during the year and leave whenever necessary. This is huge considering the first year of a baby’s life has so many milestones. Imagine a new mom not having to worry about missing her baby’s first steps or first word!
Netflix will also offer full pay during the leave, allowing parents to live stress-free and enjoy time with their new child. They’re making a huge move forward and competitors may jump in. But Netflix wants the best of the best and they’re willing to work with their employees to get that.
Awesome news! Hopefully more companies will jump on board and implement similar benefits for their employees.
