The Emmy nominations are out and we are ready to gossip! For the first time in the show’s history Modern Family was not up for best comedy and Netflix beat HBO in total nominations. Let’s get down to the details and make some predictions, which will most definitely be wrong. Also, we won’t comment on every category because there are just too many.

Who takes this award? Our instincts are going to go with The Handmaid’s Tale even though this is Game of Thrones goodbye tour. The show has just broken too much ground to not be recognized for it’s greatness.

We’re surprised to see Kimmy Schmidt on the list after a short part one of its final season, but we believe this award will go to Barry. Strictly because Henry Winkler is in it and we adore the Fonz.

Milo Ventimiglia deserves the win for his work on This is Us so we are hopeful he will take the win. Jason Bateman is a good possibility though after the horrifying role he played in Ozark.

We’re torn on this category because Elisabeth Moss is breathtaking as June/Offred in THT but we freaking love Sandra Oh. Oh’s victory would shatter ceilings and Moss got it last year so we’ll give our prediction to Sandra Oh.
