May 1st saw streaming service Netflix lose 1,794 of their titles, including James Bond classics and fifteen seasons of South Park, amongst others. Although it was initially speculated Warner Brothers were involved in this chop, they later denied this on their Twitter.
So why have Netflix suffered such a dramatic drop in titles? The US online streaming service released a statement declaring that the 1,794 titles “are older features,” going on to say “We recently added many great, more recent titles such as ParaNorman (Universal), Hunger Games (Epix), Safe (Epix) and Bachelorette (Weinstein).”
The announcement went on to mention plenty more features to come, including MI:2 and 500 others on May 1, concluding that “this ebb and flow happens all the time”. So do not fret Netflix watchers, just make sure you know what’s expiring by checking back to InstantWatcher!
