An acoustic version of Britney Spears’ latest single “Perfume” has hit the web this week to positive reviews, with some bloggers liking the acoustic track more that the techno-laden radio version. In the newly released version, Spears teams up with “Perfume” co-writer and Aussie singer-songwriter Sia.
Both Spears and Sia display their vocal talents with the new version with Sia’s raw-sounding vocals add a welcome emotional weight to the song. Without an overly synthetic beat, Spears’ vocals have an opportunity to shine brighter than they would without Sia’s smoldering backup vocals, making this version an excellent example of one of Britney Jean’s strongest tracks.
