New Boyband Alert: Group Member Lee Brown Talks Phase V

There’s a new boyband on the music scene and we’ve got an exclusive interview with member Lee Brown – come meet Phase V!

Watch out ladies and gentlemen, there is a new boy band on the scene and they’ll be sure to heat your day up! For all of you Backstreet Boy fans, you’re in for a treat. No, I’m not talking about the Backstreet Boys (I wish this was about the Backstreet Boys… I can’t help it, I’m a 90s girl!), I’m talking about Phase V. Lee, Nelson, Jeremiah, JayC and Alex recently covered the popular Backstreet Boys hit “I Want It That Way.”

Do you want to know more about who these guys are? Well, you’re in luck because I recently chatted with their newest member, Lee Brown, about the band!

PW: How was Phase V formed? How did you come into the mix of the group?

LEE BROWN: Phase V started because Jeremiah wanted to start an urban boyband, something different than what is out there now. He held auditions and found JayC and Nelson, and then Alex auditioned. There was another guy in the group before me, but he ended up leaving due to differences. That’s where I came in.

PW: How did you come into the mix of the group?

LB: I met Jeremiah in 2013 and kept in touch. When I heard that there was a possible opportunity for me to join the group in November 2014, I sent in all of my information over with a few videos. The next thing I knew, I was on a plane going to LA.

PW: Is being in Phase V the first thing you’ve done performance wise?

LB: Nope! I was actually in a smaller band previous to Phase V and we did performances across the UK and in Spain. I have worked as a professional dancer and singer in the UK; that’s where I’m from originally. I worked on shows with the BBC and Dancing With The Stars. I have been teaching workshops in various cities and countries across the UK for a while now.

PW: What are your goals as a group?

LB: We want to bring something to the industry that hasn’t been seen before, an international boyband that dances and sings live! We want the world to recognise us for our music and our talent. The only direction that we are going is up and we have just started. We can’t wait to tour and visit different countries around the globe.

PW: What’s next for you guys?

LB: We have an EP coming out in the next few months with lots of new music! The fans can expect a busy few weeks head and we can’t thank them enough for all of the support we are getting.

PW: Where can fans find out more information about you?

LB: You can find us on Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
