Tonight’s episode of New Girl involved a lot of dating. Online dating. Specifically, a Tinder-esque dating app.

Tonight’s episode of New Girl involved a lot of dating. We’ve seen some dating on the show, but tonight’s episode tackled online dating.

More specifically: dating over an app called Dice, similar to what most of us know as Tinder. Most people use Tinder, or Dice in this case, for hook-ups, so this episode was all about Schmidt teaching Jess how to use Dice.

Schmidt sets up a day full of dates for Jess to get the experience she needs in order to have a fully functioning dating life. He sets up ten different dates for her, giving her the opportunity to learn how to walk away from a train wreck and how to notice perverts.

It’s pretty funny, he has a buzzer.

While Schmidt is showing Jess the ropes of dating, the rest of the gang, excluding Winston, smoke marijuana and are absolutely inebriated to the point of inability to function.

Yeah, it goes just as well as it sounds. In short, Cece talks to a dog and the three of them, Cece, Coach, and Nick, hide in a closet and sing.
