With just a few weeks remaining before the Doctor Who Christmas special “The Time of the Doctor,” a few special guests have been announced for the Yuletide show. Benidorm’s Sheila Reid will guest star as Clara’s grandmother alongside James Buller, who will be returning to the show as Clara’s father.
From the long list of guest stars, Radio Times reports Elizabeth Rider will play Linda, Tessa Peake-Jones (Only Fools and Horses) will play Marta, and Kayvan Novak (Facejacker) provide his voice for Handles.
The official Doctor Who Facebook page has summarized the episode as the following: “the Doctor must sacrifice everything to save a town called Christmas from his greatest enemies…”
This will be Matt Smith’s final episode as The Doctor, leading up to Peter Capaldi’s appearance in the episode as his regenerated successor.
