New James Bond Film Starts Shooting In Early December

The newest Daniel Craig-led James Bond movie will begin filming in early December. The film will again be directed by Sam Mendes.

After 2012’s Skyfall, director Sam Mendes stated that he would not return for the next installment in the James Bond films, but he later claimed otherwise. Now he’s set to begin filming it on December 6, with a table read planned at Pinewood Studios.

The cast will meet for the table read, with Daniel Craig once again in the starring role and Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear and Ben Whishaw surrounding his performance. The script was originally written by John Logan and later reworked by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. The writing team previously worked on Skyfall as well.

Last summer, it was announced that premiere dates for the yet-unfilmed movie were scheduled. Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, along with MGM and Sony, revealed that the next James Bond installment was set to premiere on October 23, 2015 in the United Kingdom and on November 6, 2015 in the United States. However, the companies and producers did not make any statement regarding the “beginning of shooting” news.

The next movie in the Eon series will come three years after the release of the previous one, Skyfall, and will be the 5th with Daniel Craig playing the British spy. It will not be his last one though, since the actor has already signed for one more James Bond film after that.
