New Mega Pokemon Announced For ‘Omega Ruby’ And ‘Alpha Sapphire’

Corocoro, the monthly Japanese magazine famed for its Pokemon revelations, has brought a new wave of announcements.

Mega Sharpedo, Mega Camerupt and Mega Gallade are three new Mega Pokemon that will feature in the sister games Pokemon: Omega Ruby and Pokemon: Omega Sapphire, slated for release in November.

Mega Sharpedo – 

this evolution will gain a boost to all of Sharpedo’s stats, as well as the ability Sharp Jaws, which increases the damage done by biting moves such as Ice Fang.

Mega Camerupt – 

while its speed will take a slump, every other stat will take a huge boost and the ability Sheer Force will take hold. This removes the ability to inflict burns or drop an enemy’s stats, but increase the core power of the move in compensation.

Mega Gallade – 

the Psychic/Fighting hybrid will get the ability Inner Focus in its mega form, which prevents the Pokemon from flinching in battle, a key element to many strategies.

As well as these three new Mega Pokemon, the two Primal beings Kyogre and Groudon will get new abilities of their own–Kyogre’s being Sea of Beginnings, and Groudon gaining Land of Endings. The former will cause intense sunlight, the latter extreme rain. These will increase the damage of fire/water type moves respectively.
