A very different kind of hunger game is currently going on in America –this is a game where only one fast-food chain is crowned victorious.

The current victor in this ongoing competition is Taco Bell, who recently launched their new breakfast campaign.

The Mexican fast-food chain featured 25 men from across the country, all with the name Ronald McDonald, to appear in their new television ad. This clever marketing plan was obviously designed to take down the fast-food monster McDonald’s.

In the video, each Ronald McDonald admits to being a fan of Taco Bell’s breakfast menu. At the end of the video, all 25 men say: “My Name is Ronald McDonald, and I love Taco Bell’s new breakfast.”

Deutch L.A. created the ad, which concludes: “Breakfast anybody can love –even Ronald McDonald.”

Research firm Technomic estimates that the worth of the fast-food breakfast market is $50 billion, which contributes to the $200 billion fast-food industry as a whole.

President of Taco Bell, Brian Niccol, said, “Our customers have asked us to do breakfast because there’s a sea of sameness in breakfast sandwiches.”

Taco Bell’s new campaign features three new items: The Waffle Taco, A.M. Crunchwrap, and Cinnabon Delights.

Breakfast is served as early at 7 a.m., and offers 14 different items.
