Nicholas Hoult Only Signed For One More X-Men Film

British actor Nicholas Hoult revealed at SXSW that he is only contracted for one more X-men film, the upcoming sequel, ‘X-Men Apocalypse’.

Nicholas Hoult will be returning to the upcoming X-Men film, X-Men: Apocalypse (yay!), but unfortunately the British actor isn’t so sure of his future in the X-Men franchise as Beast. Hoult attended SXSW and divulged to E! News that “This is the last one I’m signed up for,” before going on to add, “The first one did so well and Days of Future Past got received so brilliantly, it’s like, ‘Wow, people really want to see the films’ and the best thing is it’s a great crew and cast to work with and he’s a fun character. I have a good time playing him so I’d keep making them.”

X-Men Apocalypse will be a sequel to Days Of Future Past, and serve as a prequel to the ending of the film, showing viewers what the alterations have done to the timeline, introducing the villain Apocalypse, one of the most powerful villains in the X-Men universe. It has been stated that the film will additionally explore the relationship between Beast and Mystique further, after the first two prequel films introduced a romantic relationship between the two with different societal ideas.

Hopefully if the X-Men films continue, Hoult and the others can re-up their contracts for more X-Men feature films, after all, the current cast and crew is a winning combination! Would you like to see more beast in the franchise?
