Nick Deutsch is premiering his newest single, “Meteor,” with us today (August 15). We first introduced you to him with his debut EP, Crazy Ride, which he released with an intimate performance at The Bitter End in NYC.

“Meteor” gives me an Owl City vibe, with a similar soaring pop instrumental and vocals that draw you in before you even realize it--the latter is a common theme in Nick’s music, which can be heard from “Crazy Ride” to “A Better Place” on his debut EP. He’s always been great at evoking emotion with his music, and this is no different.

“Meteor” is already leaving its mark, having earned nominations in several songwriting competitions. It’s the fourth single on Nick’s sophomore EP, entitled Heartsaver. The EP is slated for official release in the fall.

"Meteor" is currently a top 20 finalist in the Unsigned Only Fandemonium contest (Pop/Top 40 category). Vote for Nick here. The deadline is August 24, 2016.

Listen to “Meteor” below, and you can also stream his three previous singles on his SoundCloud: "Heartsaver," "Under Your Ocean," and "Hard To Love A Man."

About Nick Deutsch

The New York-based musician started making music at the age of 10, and by his early teens, he was performing at his local Border Books Cafe and coffee houses. Taking after his musician mother, he developed a love for jazz and classical piano. Deutsch made his way to NYU, where he befriended the CEO of the New York Songwriter’s circle, Tina Shafer (who has worked with Avril Lavigne, Taylor Swift, Vanessa Carlton, Gavin Degraw and Norah Jones). Shafer’s support and guidance led Deutsch to booking shows at venues such as CBGB’s, The Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall, Cafe Vivaldi and Ella Lounge. Soon after, he began working

with award-winning producer Joey Auch (Rachel Platten, Erin Bowman, Brittany Cairns). [Source: Nick Deutsch]
