Nick Jonas is relaunching his career as a solo artist with the release of his sophomore, self-titled studio album. After impacting the world with singles “Chains” and “Jealous”, the singer has now made the record available for pre-order and dropped a brand-new track “Numb” as a countdown single.
“Numb” was written by “Cooler Than Me” hitmaker, Mike Posner and finds the former Jonas Brothers bandmate teaming up with Angel Haze. The track serves as an hard-hitting urban tune with an infectious production and nice beat drops to go by. The lyrics are all about heartbreak and Nick brings the emotion on the R&B number. Haze on the other hand seems to care less and be over the pain, delivering her verse with full swagger on.
The track serves as the third promotional single to be lifted from Nick Jonas, the upcoming record by the younger of the Jonas Brothers. There’s no word regarding whether it will come out as an official single or not, but it’s nice to have it since it’s definitely a jam. After all, if I had Demi Lovato featured on a song of mine, I would probably go and release that one first on promotional grounds, wouldn’t you?
