Courtesy of NY Daily NewsThe father of actress Nicole Kidman, Dr. Antony Kidman, has collapsed and died in a hotel in Singapore.
The doctor reportedly fell down in the hotel restaurant after morning exercise; he was later declared dead at hospital. He was in Singapore visiting Nicole’s youngest sister Antonia, along with his grandchildren.
The psychologist was awarded an Order of Australia in 2005 for his contributions to the field of clinical psychology. As well as a clinical psychologist at the Royal Shore North Hospital, he was also the director of the Health Psychology Unit at the University of Technology in Sydney.
Nicole Kidman was born in Hawaii before her parents moved out to Sydney. She has a filmography spanning several decades and won an Oscar for her role in The Hours. It is reported that she is not currently ‘comfortable’ talking to the media, which is understandable considering the situation.
