After two years of working as a judge on X Factor UK, former member of Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger is leaving X Factor. It was for speculated for some time about if she will or won’t stay on the show, but Simon Cowell made it very clear that she will indeed depart the show.
Via Simon Cowell’s TwitterThe reason for this departure is Nicole promoting her new, second solo album. Nicole has been working on this album, a follow-up to 2011’s Killer Love, for some time and now the material is almost finished and the album could be be released as early as this summer.
Scherzinger turned down a chance to perform on the X Factor last year because she had no album to promote but since she’s leaving the show on good terms, returning to perform this upcoming season should not be a problem.
Nicole also hasn’t ruled out returning to the X Factor judging panel in 2015 or 2016 either, since ITV has renewed the show for 3 more seasons.
