Nine Inch Nails And Hunter Hayes Secured Performance Spots At The Grammy’s

The 56th Grammy Awards are shaping up to be performance heavy, with some of today’s top musical acts taking the stage at this years show.

Making their Grammy show performance debut, Gary Clark Jr. and Hunter Hayes have been added to Sunday nights roster of performers. In addition, rock legends Queens of The Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Dave Grohl, and Lindsey Buckingham are also set to perform.

Grohl, Clark Jr., and Queens of The Stone Age have each been nominated for two Grammy awards.

Grohl’s song, “Cut Me Some Slack” (along with McCartney, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear) has earned him a nomination for Best Rock Song and a Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media nomination for the album Sound City: Real To Reel.

Clark Jr. has also snagged a Best Rock Song nomination for “Ain’t Messin’ Round” and Best Traditional R&B Performance nomination for “Please Come Home.”

Queens of The Stone Age have been nominated for Best Rock Performance for “My God Is The Sun” and Best Rock Album for Like Clockwork. Nine Inch Nails has earned a nomination for Best Alternative Music Album for Hesitation Marks.

The very talented musicians will be joined by previously announced acts including Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, John Legend, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Sara Bareilles and Carole King, Katy Perry, Lorde, Robin Thicke, Metallica, Daft Punk, Stevie Wonder, Nile Rodgers, Pharrell Williams; Pink, fun.’s Nate Ruess; Kendrick Lamar, Imagine Dragons; and a special grouping of Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, and Blake Shelton.

Jay-Z and wife Beyonce are also said to be performing, as hinted by the January 19th add on CBS, the network broadcasting the awards show.

Rapper LL Cool J will be serving as master of ceremonies for the event. Catch the Grammy Awards this Sunday, January 26th at 8/7c on CBS.
