Nintendo Wanted Exclusive Rights To Harry Potter Video Games

Nintendo originally wanted the rights to the Harry Potter video games, but lost that privilege to Warner Bros. and Electronic Arts.

When I was a younger, I loved the Harry Potter games.I really liked the puzzle aspect of the game, especially in the Prisoner of Azkaban game, or the World Cup Quidditch game!

Recently, Nintendo reported that they had wanted the exclusive access to these Harry Potter games, but Warner Bros. won the battle. Nintendo had been giving ideas for the games since the 90s. The belief is that Nintendo lucked out because they wanted to take a Japanese/Manga style approach, while JK Rowling wanted to keep it strictly British, which, I don’t mind or blame her for. Warner Bros. had tasked Electronic Arts to create a series to each movie, which was perfect. Electronic Arts is a good company no doubt, I love their games. Though, to be honest, I would have liked to see Nintendo‘s take on Harry Potter!

What do you guys think?
