Series creator of HBO’s Newsroom Aaron Sorkin has dismissed claims that he and star Olivia Munn do not get along.

Earlier in the tabloids, speculation about trouble between the cast occurred when a source told Radar Online that Munn’s presence on the set created a “poisonous atmosphere.”

Sorkin responded to the claims in a statement with E! Online saying: “The story bears no resemblance to reality.”

“Olivia is a perfect cast member who is loved and respected by the entire cast, by the crew and the producers, by HBO and especially by me,” he concluded.

A dedicated actress to the show, Munn reported to Vanity Fair in June that she has special means of preparing for her role as finance reporter Sloan Sabbith.

“I write a lot of notes in my scripts,” Munn said in her interview.

“It’s important for me to have them there as a reference so I can keep on track for what I’m wanting to convey. Sometimes, no matter how much I prepare, I can let my emotions of the day affect my choices in a scene, so I like to have my notes with me to remind myself of what track I should be on. And with scripts as complicated and rich as Sorkin’s, it’s vital for me. My notes become my sheet music.”

Despite the accusations that the cast had a fall-out with Munn, they still anticipate to continue Newsroom into its third season.

A premiere date for Season Three has not been confirmed (since its second season wrapped in September), though HBO has stated that they are in talks with the series creators to work out schedules.
