Oscar nominee Anna Kendrick has made it clear that she is done with musicals!

At the screening of her latest film, The Last Five Years, Kendrick was quite candid with TheWrap when discussing the adaptation of the off-Broadway musical.

“I never want to sing again, honestly. It’s hard as f_ck,” the actress admitted on Monday night.

The film was shot in 21 days and the majority of the scenes were shot with live singing.

Kendrick says that she never thought she’d do another musical after Pitch Perfect but she couldn’t turn down The Last Five Years or her next release Into the Woods, where she plays Cinderella.

In talking about the Pitch Perfect sequel where she’ll be reunited with costar Rebel Wilson in the directorial debut of Elizabeth Banks, Kendrick stated that it would be fine with the support of nine other girls having to sing with her.

Kendrick starred on Broadway at 12 years old so one can only sympathize when she said, “I don’t want to have to think about my voice so much.  I want to be able to drink beer whenever I want.”

Bottoms up, Anna!  But don’t take a break for too long.  You can use your cups for beer for now, but we’re going to need another runaway hit from you soon!!!
