Daryl Dixon in Silent Hill? Sign us up! It has been announced that Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro have chosen none other than The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus to star in their newest incarnation of the wildly popular video game franchise, Silent Hill.
The new trailer tells us that the game will be called Silent Hills and features a lone man walking along a deserted, dark street. When I finally got a glimpse of his face, I was floored by the likeness. It truly is extraordinary what can be done on a computer these days.
The full trailer, which runs one hour and 16 minutes long, is available in the Playstation Store under the name P.T. and also offers interactive gameplay.
I personally am more familiar with the movies than the games and I think that the first movie is one of the better horror flicks to be released in recent years. However, for a chance to be Norman Reedus’ character, I may just have to convert.
Will this newest game result in a subsequent movie? Only time will tell. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that Norman Reedus makes everything better. So if he’s headlining that reboot, I’m all for it.
