The first trailer for The LEGO Movie has hit the internet! And yes, when I say Lego, I absolutely mean the blocks we all used to play with when we were younger. Or that we still play with because they are nonstop fun and we love building things. Yes, I’m referring to myself.
The animated movie has some fairly large names associated to it. Writers of the comedy 21 Jump Street and its upcoming, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, are among the names, both serving as co-writers and directors. Chris McKay, co-producer of Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken, will also be joining the duo.
The movie will focus on a normal LEGO guy Emmet (Chris Pratt) who is wrongly identified as an amazing MasterBuilder by Vitruvius (Morgan Freeman). Emmet will have to join the MasterBuilders to stop the evil President Business (Will Ferrell) from ending the world!
The rest of the cast will be rounded out by Alison Brie, Will Arnett, Elizabeth Banks, and Liam Neeson. The trailer looks pretty amazing, which you can check out below!
The LEGO Movie is set to release in the US on February 7, 2014 and February 14, 2014 in the UK.
