Obsession Is A Killer – FOX Release Two New Trailers For The Following Season Two

The greatest trick the devil ever played was convincing the world that he did not exist.

It’s been almost six months since The Following was on our TV screens, and while the show’s second season doesn’t begin until January, FOX have provided fans with some teasing video’s to tide us over until the new year.

The first, titled “Round Two”, shows Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) standing in front of a wall literally covered with information about Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) and the cult. As the camera pans over the items on the wall, it stops on a photo of Claire (Natalie Zea) as Hardy’s voice says, “Catching Joe Carroll cost me everything and everyone”. Hardy is not convinced that Carroll is dead, and there’s only one thing Ryan Hardy wants… Revenge.

The second teaser follows along a similar vein, and as Ryan sits on a lone chair in a darkened room the camera slowly circling around him, we hear his voice say that twice he has stared into the face of evil, once he put him in prison, the second he put him in the ground, but the doubt remains. As the camera continues to circle Ryan fades and the man sitting on the chair is now Carroll. A bearded, very much alive, Joe Carroll.

The two new trailers come days after Kevin Williamson, the show’s executive producer, tweeted a new poster for the upcoming season. A bloody handprint with the face of Ryan Hardy inside it, accompanied by the tagline “Obsession is a killer”.

The Following returns to FOX in January 2014.
