I remember when I first heard Owl City; it was long before he was ever on the radio, when “Fireflies” was just another song on YouTube by an incredibly talented, undiscovered MySpace musician.

Fast forward to now and Owl City (Adam Young) has released three studio albums; the first, Ocean Eyes, being certified Platinum in 2010 with the “Fireflies” being certified as a quadruple-platinum single. He’s also had his music featured on the soundtracks of films like Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, Wreck-It Ralph, The Croods and The Smurfs 2.

He collaborated with Carly Rae Jepsen back in 2012 on “Good Times” and now he’s teaming up with the incredibly talented violinist, Lindsey Stirling, on a brand new track entitled “Beautiful Times.” Check it out below and let us know what you think!

His lyrics are always so deep and clever, “A spot soaring down through the pouring rain and restoring life to the lighthouse. A slow motion wave on the ocean stirs my emotion up like a raincloud,” I love it!  It stirred up all positive emotions for me; it was very Owl City and Lindsey added an element that was sublte, yet beautiful.

Beautiful times indeed.
