Okilly Dokilly: World’s First Ned Flanders Metal Band Rocks

Tribute bands do not get weirder than this! An Arizonian hardcore metal band have formed a “Nedal” band; a Ned Flanders (yes, The Simpsons’ godly neighbor) themed band.

The band, called Okilly Dokilly (obviously!), decided to run with the theme after trying to think of cute names for really heavy and brutal metal bands.

Calling themselves everything from Head Ned to Red Ned, the five piece all dress as Ned, including mustaches and glasses, whilst most of their songs are direct quotes from the man himself. However, only one of the band members, Head Ned, is left handed claiming that he is “lucky” to be like his musical muse.

The lead singer (Head Ned) confesses that this is all just an elaborate plan to get Matt Groening (The Simpsons creator)’s autograph. Although we are not sure if we believe that…

The bands first gig is in Arizona on September the 5th.
