Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart: oh my!
According to Deadline, a sequel has been approved for the presidential thriller, Olympus Has Fallen.
Not only will we get another installment of this political action thriller, all of the stars that made people go see the movie in the first place will be returning.
In the sequel, the President of the United States (Eckhart), and his trusty bodyguard Mike Banning (Butler) are the only two individuals capable of foiling a scheme to destroy London during their fallen Prime Minister’s funeral.
Radha Mitchell and Angela Bassett will also be back to reprise their roles as Banning’s wife (Mitchell) and the Director of the Secret Service (Bassett).
Bassett sure has been taking on some kick ass roles lately, hasn’t she? Between her creeptastic role as Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau and the Director of the freaking Secret Service, I’d say Ms. Bassett is set to take over the reign of Kick Ass Queen.
