Everyone’s favorite boy band, One Direction, reveals the “Story of My Life” in the group’s newly released music video.
The clip, directed by Ben Winston (who also produced their film This Is Us), begins in a darkroom with the boys developing memorable prints of their family and childhood. In fact, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik enlist their dearest family members to recreate their most special memories. The stunning visual is the second single off their upcoming Midnight Memories album, out November 25 in the UK and a day later in the states.
As the video progresses, the photos (inevitably hanging on their walls) come to life. It’s magical, really. The new song samples Mumford & Sons in its bare-bones production and allows the band to really show case their fine vocals and presence.
In celebration of the upcoming album, a release party will take place at the iHeartRadio in Los Angeles on November 25 and will air as a special 30-minute broadcast on all Clear Channel stations at 6 p.m. PT. TV personality and businessman Ryan Seacrest will play as host.
“We’re really excited about the album release party with iHEARTRADIO. We’re really proud of the album and can’t wait to perform tracks from it. And what’s more, we get to hang with SEACREST. It’s going to be a great day!!” Nail said.
Following the album’s release, One Direction will launch their first-ever stadium world tour, including dates at Wembley Stadium in the UK.
