No one shuts down a rumor like Oprah Winfrey.
When a story circulated the interwebs claiming that iconic songstress Tina Turner had suffered a stroke at her home in Zurich, Switzerland, Winfrey responded to put the situation to rest.

According to Winfrey, her 74-year-old friend is happy and healthy.
She’s also “happily retired” from the music business, as her spokesperson recently revealed.
She released a compilation with 18 of her classic tracks, entitled “Love Songs”, earlier this month, but has no plans as of now to release any new music.
We’re all very relieved to know that the rumors aren’t true, and wish Miss Turner the best in her continued retirement.
