Our First Look At The Powerful Trailer For HBO’s ‘The Normal Heart’

The first teaser trailer for the HBO movie The Normal Heart is out, and it’s just as powerful as we’ve been expecting. Based on the Tony-award winning play from Larry Kramer, the story focuses on the struggles of gay leaders and medical professionals in fighting for action amongst the confusion gripping New York City during the early years of the HIV-AIDs crisis in the 1980’s.

Written by Kramer and directed by Glee’s Ryan Murphy, the drama features an all-star ensemble cast including Julia Roberts, Mark Ruffalo, Matt Bomer, and Jim Parsons. The Normal Heart debuts on HBO May 25^th, with a sequel already in development.
