Baseball. It’s as American as well, apple pie.
And former MLB player Ozzie Smith, known as The Wizard to baseball fans around the country, thinks opening day for America’s pastime should be a national holiday.
He’s teamed up with Budweiser and created an official petition to get the White House to take notice and make it official!
In a commercial aimed at getting the support of Americans around the country, Ozzie said, “Opening day should be a holiday. Let’s make it official. All we need is 100,000 signatures on the way to the White House. Next stop, Washington D.C.!”
It’s no doubt that the Wizard must indeed be ready to pull out all his tricks in order to get Washington to take notice.
If you’re of legal drinking age, you can head over to Budweiser’s website and be linked directly to the petition.
For those of you under the legal drinking age, you can still sign the petition by heading to the We The People website.
I just became signature 26,347 and you can easily join the cause.
“Take Me Out to the Ball Game” and out of the office? I’m ready!!!
