It looks as though the modern day Peter Pan has found his Tiger Lily! Rooney Mara (Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) is set to play the daughter of the Native Chief, in Warner Bros’ Peter Pan origin tale which is currently titled; Pan.
Short and sweet.
The young Pan hasn’t been cast yet, but open casting calls where held at London’s Wembley Arena in February. Filmmakers where on the lookout for boys of all ethnicities aged 10 to 13.
Mara is currently working with recent Oscar winner for Best Actress, Cate Blanchett, on a lesbian drama titled Carol. She also appeared in Her last year with Joaquin Phoenix.
Pan is to be directed by Joe Wright, won’t be seen in cinemas until mid 2015, and will star Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard. As with many movies, in this modern era, we will have the option to see Peter save Neverland in either 3D or 2D.
