According to writer/director Christopher Landon, the makers of the Paranormal Activity franchise have an end game in mind.
“It started when we were making Paranormal 2,” Landon told Shock Til You Drop. “We started making this mythology and it worked as a think tank for us.
“It was really when we were making the third film that things started to crystallize. I had an endgame in mind which I had pitched to the group and they loved it. We’ve been working toward getting to this finish line.”
Considering the franchise began so small and was lifted up thanks to its original, brilliant marketing campaign, it’s amazing that it has come this far.
Landon isn’t involved with Paranormal Activity 5, which will be hitting theaters on October 24, but The Marked Ones, which is currently in theaters, was apparently Landon’s “opportunity to get it back on track.”
