It’s a great year for the folk music scene as front-running acts like Passenger have announced that they’re releasing new music for 2014.
Mike “Passenger” Rosenberg’s latest album, Whispers, is actually just around the corner with a release date of June 10! Its deluxe edition is coming out in style too, featuring beautiful pop-up art reminiscent of all of your favorite classical childhood stories. The “Let Her Go” star revealed the art late last month, sparking immense interest in purchasing the deluxe version from fans.
As far as deluxe editions of albums go, this is one of the few instances where people will unequivocally be attracted to the physical version far more than one off of iTunes in today’s modern era. Who can blame them?
That stuff is a true work of beauty, and with early reviews of Whispers lauding the album, it looks like he’s got much to be happy about during these summer months.
You can listen to “Scare Away the Dark” from off of Whispers below.
